This second painting, a scene with Marianne Dashwood sitting at the seaside from the film "Sense and Sensibility" is inspired by Blanca Álvarez Sanchez lovely tutorial on Patreon. 

Painting wet-in-wet is very challenging for me at any time, and I struggle with this technique repeatedly.

They are always the very first signs of Winter's end. Okay, at the moment is much too early for them, but if you look closely you can see, they are nearly there. This is painted on a new brand DALER & ROWNEY - THE LANGTON watercolor paper and it's really perfect with it's two different sides, perfect for wet in wet, but also wet on dry technics. Okay, you must stretch it, because it buckles a lot, but drys very flat too.

Cats are surely one of my favorite subjects to paint and they are such gorgeous mediums to study all watercolor techniques, specially wet-on-wet technique. This is our new neighbor Burma cat and she's an absolutely beauty with her stunning eyes, so I couldn't resist.

Today I've had a wet-on-wet technique studio day. I need much more practice with it and every time I try this, I discover that I'm not patient enough and destroy good first washes. Waiting for the right moment of dryness on the paper is absolutely necessary.

This is an experimental work with strong colors in wet-on-wet-technique. Half the day I've worked in my garden and enjoyed the  wonderful fall colors in the late sunshine. Maybe some of this influences this work.
