I wasn't satisfied with the original painting on the encaustic board, so I tried washing off the pigment. Unfortunately, that only worked very poorly. I then primed the board again with Qor Aquarelle Ground. That worked even worse, and it resulted in a lot of vertical lines. However, as I thought about this motif, I realized the lines would fit the subject well.

It was really time for a landscape painting. Do know this feeling that you MUST paint something from deep inside your heart? I only know the British version of this gorgeous location in person, but the French version is very high on my bucket list.

These lovely old doors with stone walls and hydrangeas are a memory to Brittany. In the first version it's a very rainy day without any sun, but me it was too dark and so I create my own weather and impression with a 2nd painting. Please tell me, which one do you like more?
