That's my last painting in 2020 and Dears, what a year! It had an impact on all of our lives and I'm very glad that I could paint, write and photography in my free time and so create a space for me to forget the world around me and just enjoy the creative process.

Ich möchte jedem einzelnen von Euch danken für all die Treue, Aufmerksamkeit und Zuwendung in den vergangenen 12 Jahren hier in meinem Malerei-Blog. While painting this lovely landscape I dive deep into my memories. Visiting Cadaqués 2017 for the first time and falling in love was one! This remarkable place where Dali spent most time of his life from 1930 to 1982, has so much beauty and the whole coastline is a paradise for painters. So I must come back, that's sure!

Inspired by a license-acquired photo from Adobe Stock DATEI-NR.: 134352444 I have discovered this image and I loved it at first sight and know, I must paint it. It was a little bit complicated because I had to buy first a license and it isn't allowed to sell this image. But none of that frightened me and I really enjoyed working on this wonderfully happy and optimistic motif.

Today I've worked a little bit with my travel sketch book. This scene above was only a pencil sketch done during the Watercolor Workshop with Joseph Zbukvic, organized by EPC Art Courses, Angela Barbi in September 2018. Included in this puristic sketch are a lot of memories and so I've tried to give them life in this colored version of the sketch. It was a very hot afternoon at this day and I sat side by side with a good new friend under a sun umbrella and we both sketch this corner on the Placa del Prat de Sant Pere, Besalú while drinking a very tasty café cortado.
