painting a little lamb in the snow using and applying all techniques that we've learned during the last months. Disconnection is the magic word of today's lesson.

How exciting!! We are on a real safari with Jean Haines, unbelievable many elephants around us and we have a lot of fun. All these magical colors of Africa, the unique light, and the beauty of these outstanding and mysterious giant animals fascinate me. I love this Art School of Jean Haines very much.

 Because we have a lot of rivers in the region around us and several birdbaths in our garden, dragonflies are often seen amongst us. Some are very tiny and royal blue, some really as big as my hand. This first attempt to the motive is a result of my Art Class at Jean Haines Art School online. I have struggled with the dark tones and this is really a little bit too dark, but nevertheless I love it and will do more with this color scheme.

There's a new world opening for me, I've had my first contact with acrylic pouring and it was absolutely fascinating and wonderful.Okay, doing this is a little bit messy and you need a sure place, otherwise your studio looks like something has exploded inside. But I'll sure continue with this experience. It's so relaxing and inspiring in the same way and I've a lot unused canvas and acrylic colors - so I give it a go!

Quick sketch/study for a larger painting - Lake Thingvellir, Iceland. I’ve visited this magical place years ago during November with amazing cold weather, a very clear sky and so soft and romantic sundowns, it was unbelievable beautiful. Now I I’ll start with some paintings from my memories/own photos.

Sometimes a quick sketch is so perfect, done without any pressure on your shoulders, just following the own inspiration and the feeling for the place you'd like to paint. Do you know what I mean? Hopefully that the large version comes out so fresh and loose like the sketch. Let's cross the brushes for it!!

 This year in June I've lost my very dear Soul Sister Elle van der Wagt. She was a very sweet soul, immensely talented photographer, humorous and big-hearted dear friend and much more to me. I miss her very much and so I've decided to paint her portrait. First I've done an akurat sketch to step into the mood and now I've done a very loose study of her beautiful eyes.

No artist could enjoy a waterlilies pond without thinking on Monet's famous paintings and his gorgeous garden in Giverney. And so I do, every time I discovered a waterlilies pond I'm inspired and thrilled. These gorgeous variations of blue, green and light. This painting isn't more than a study but I love the interaction of Viridian and Indigo Blue on the water.
