Yes, this shot is an absolute must for New York tourist and so I've done it too. In 2013 during my first visit to this marvelous city, we had a great theater night at the broadway and of course, we took a walk to the time square. 

This painting is my second attempt to NYC city night scenes and I will try to do larger versions from this. Do you know this feeling, that you have millions of ideas in your brain, but no time to do it?

Since my first personal contact with Cornwall, this amazing region is always in my mind. I wish I could live there forever. I love everything there, the landscape, the very special people, the near to the sea and it inspires me again and again. The last months I've had not so much time for paintings, as I would wish, so the larger pieces are still only in my heart and head and I try to keep in contact with the paper, pigments, and brushes.

The lighthouse Westerhever is a really well-known lighthouse in Germany, but for me, it is too a symbol for wonderful relaxed days at St. Peter-Ording and the beautiful seashore there. For years I've painted it during the seasons and this is a winter painting, but without snow. The one with snow is planned for the future.

Inspired by a license-acquired photo from Adobe Stock DATEI-NR.: 134352444 I have discovered this image and I loved it at first sight and know, I must paint it. It was a little bit complicated because I had to buy first a license and it isn't allowed to sell this image. But none of that frightened me and I really enjoyed working on this wonderfully happy and optimistic motif.
