I returned to full imperial sheet and it feels so right and good to paint again on large formats My inner voice told me that it's time again for loose landscapes and so I started with a lovely loose wash inspired by Gerard Hendriks

Birch trees are the classical trees at the Lüneburger Heide, the region where I come from and life today again. I love these wonderful white, slim trees with permanent dancing branches very very much.

Started as a sketch for fir trees on another painting this turned out so lovely, that I decided to add just a little more surrounding to create the atmosphere of a snowy mountain. I'm longing to be outside so much...

The near Harz Mountains region has a lot of amazing beech forests and during autumn it's the pure joy to visit them. Especially in the morning when the fog is still between the colored tree, the ground is covered by fallen leaves and the wood has this fairytale touch.
