With the Cat series I'll started with my 3rd one painting during the Endre Penovác Workshop, because I love this one most. It's completely my own, because I use my own photography of Coralie (my cat) and I'm really satisfied with the whole composition.

It's a busy time at the moment, but I decided to take up again my warm-up exercises. There are many projects on my easel, waiting for a concentrate finish, but at the moment it's hard to find time for this. So I only do loose washes and enjoy the process and the vibrant late Summer colors.

This year I've plant seedpods of Naturtium and I was so pleased that their comes a lot of green leaf immediately. But then nothing happened for a long time. Well, I thought, they were old seeds, they will not bloom any more. But what a surprise, since two weeks my basket becomes more and more blossoms in a lovely orange, yellow and red orange colors. I'm thrilled and must catch their beauty on paper.

this is a doodle wash during a phase I paint a large watercolor with many details. Sometimes I need a break to calm me down and get a little bit distance between me and this large painting with nearly 20 persons ... curios ??? Looks good so far, so I believe its worth to wait for.

Bei dieser Variante habe ich den Hintergrund mal mehr transparent gearbeitet, wobei es mir fast am besten ohne jeglichen Hintergrund gefallen hat. Bei den beiden vorherigen Bilder ist die Leuchtkraft m.M. nach stärker, so das ich am überlegen bin, 
ob ich hier den Hintergrund nachdunkeln soll (geht ja immer, nur heller ist oft schlechter .. ;-) ...

This is the first year I've planted Icelandic Poppies in my Garden. These are beautiful and daily surprising plants. Every day there are blossoms appearing in new colors. The vast and yet so delicate blossoms reminds me of ballerinas and I could paint them again and again.
