Mini Watercolor Workshop with my nephew Leon. He wished to learn painting with watercolors and so he'd his first contact with this gorgeous medium.  Painting with kids is always wonderful and he was very happy and relaxed.

I can't stop painting sea turtles, so this is a further one for you. They are such elegant underwater animals. 

Worldwide, six of the seven sea turtle species are classified as threatened or endangered due to human actions and lifestyles.

I will never forget this special moment years ago on the dreamy island Koh Samui, Thailand. While walking in the unbelievable warm ocean water I discovered that there were so beautiful starfishes around my feet. That's so far my last watercolor painted on wood. I've enjoyed this little summer project very much and the results look very charming on the brick wall around our terrace. Over the years we've collected a lot of maritime founds, which are decorated there and so the whole ensemble looks a little bit like a seaside restaurant.

This is my 2nd work for the RUNNING WITH BRUSHES PROJECT by VANDY & MARC MASSEY. 
My plan is to paint for the first delivery roundabout 8 - 10 paintings. 
I enjoy these for me very unusual small format a lot. 
Maybe it could be a new ritual to paint regularly one of these miniatures.
