Ich war mal in dem Dorfe,

Da zankten sich fünf Hühnerchen

Um einen Regenwurm.

Und als kein Wurm mehr war zu sehn,

Back at the brushes again, I start the Easter 2026 season with a fictional portrait of Beatrix Potter and her famous character, Peter Rabbit. My version makes no claim to authenticity; it is a painting to celebrate the joy of Spring and Easter.

And so I do, more practise with likeness in my portrait paintings. My goal isn't to paint like a photograph; no, I love looseness in everything I paint, but to recognize the person at first glance.
