 It was a short Iceland trip years ago, but it was during wintertime and full of life-long memories. I was so lucky that our golden-circle bus tour stopped near a small church so that I could take some photos of the iconic Icelandic horses grazing in the distance.

Done after my own photography taken during our last stay at Menorca, Balearic islands - Catalunya, Spain. It was such an incredibly peaceful and atmospheric evening. Yes, painting sundowns is always a bit critical, but something inside me said, give it a try and here it is.

This is a cloud exercise inspired by a Thoms W. Schaller's demonstration, shown by him in the Watercolor Workshop last year in October at Chicago. The thing with clouds is very easy: practice - practice - practice!!!

I have always locations painted, which I've never seen, but which were high on my bucket list. My list is very long and I hope that during the next two hundred years stay fit enough to visit each point of longing on this list. Until that, I paint them like in this case of my new watercolor exercise about the Lofoten, Norway. The goal is to paint more minimalist landscapes to practice the reduction.

I am a member of the FB group Watermedia with Maggie Letham

And they have created a challenge, everyone paints the same photo, and we all post our watercolor under the inspiring photo.  This month we painted a really big cloud photographed by Deborah Secor. As you know I love this kind of challenge and can't resist painting my version too.
