While painting this lovely landscape I dive deep into my memories. Visiting Cadaqués 2017 for the first time and falling in love was one! This remarkable place where Dali spent most time of his life from 1930 to 1982, has so much beauty and the whole coastline is a paradise for painters. So I must come back, that's sure!

Today I've worked a little bit MORE with my travel sketch book. This scene above was only a pencil sketch done during the Watercolor Workshop with Joseph Zbukvic, organized by EPC Art Courses, Angela Barbi in September 2018 and done during on of our lunch breaks. For many reasons I couldn't stop painting during this time and so I uses every single moment to catch up this very special atmosphere of this marvelous city. Today I've worked a little bit with my travel sketch book. This scene above was only a pencil sketch done during the Watercolor Workshop with Joseph Zbukvic, organized by EPC Art Courses, Angela Barbi in September 2018. Included in this puristic sketch are a lot of memories and so I've tried to give them life in this colored version of the sketch. It was a very hot afternoon at this day and I sat side by side with a good new friend under a sun umbrella and we both sketch this corner on the Placa del Prat de Sant Pere, Besalú while drinking a very tasty café cortado.

Started a first version of this busy city view during the wonderful workshop with Joseph Zbukvic and EPC art courses pleinair at Girona. This is a 2nd version done at my studio and I'm really more satisfied with it. Hope you like it too. So much learned about picking the right object, composition, position of light and color choice. So all I need is time and practice to paint all the city views who I carry inside my head.

This was my plein air painting during our first excursion with the Endre Penovác Workshop. We're absolutely thrilled about this lovely charming place at the Costa Brava. The sun was so very bright, nice cosy warm wind and the colors amazing crispy and clear. But these conditions are not fitting really good to the special wet-in-wet technique. We couldn't paint so quick, how the papers dry. Nevertheless we've spend a gorgeous day together with inspiring tips from our Master and having very much fun and laughing all together. Great group and fantastic organization by our beloved Angela Barbi from EPC-Art Courses.
