Nein, es wird mir nicht langweilig, in meinem Bauerngarten zu malen, und besonders Ende Mai, wenn die ersten Rosen die Fülle an Iris, Vergissmeinnicht und Pfingstrosen ablösen, ist es eine unerschöpfliche Inspirationsquelle.

Just received a new book from Kees van Aalst, so it needs only fresh white paper, some juicy colors, and a cool rosé secco. Perfect companions for this lovely summer evening. 

For my first exercise, I focused on the part of my garden in the right corner of this photo. Observing, visualizing, and then sketching without seeing on the paper, very gently with a pencil. It became darker and darker, so I had to improve, with my little palette, the things I remembered to see.  Above you can see the result, and I hope you enjoy it.
