I miss painting animals and today we had the first snow of the young year. So it's logical to paint some polar bears with the wonderful super granulation colors by Schmincke and again with a limited palette of only three colors.

My contribution to @aligator_watercolor_community  challenge #77: FAVORITE OF 2022. That was an easy decision: it must be a #portrait, it must be painted with Opera Pink and Aussie Red Gold, surely my 2022 most loved colors and it must be done on #Aquabord. I have learned so much and I'm deeply grateful to be a part of this wonderful painting community.

The background wash was done as a color testing piece for "Winter has come!" and I was very pleased with it. Today I'd a second look at it and I discovered an owl waiting for me there.
